| Job Description: |
The candidate for this position will be the Chief Architect for a portfolio of products in the Mobile Terminals technology space. - Technically responsible for multiple systems or a single large/complex system as assigned - for specifications, system engineering, architecture and design, customer-design-reviews, test and integration strategy, and for solving system wide issues during integration phases. - Responsible for working with business groups for large/complex technical proposals and related customer interactions; Prepares technical papers / presentations etc. to showcase technology to (potential) customers. - Drives / participates in efforts in Industry standard forums. - Forms collaboration with industry / government / academic research institutions to stay abreast & for joint work in areas of common interest. - Training / Mentoring / Coaching for technical expertise and ability to analyze system level choices. - Leading technology direction, creating centre of excellence and competence center.
The candidate should have worked on multimedia processing platforms used in Mobiles from different vendors. Specifically, knowledge of one of the following Silicon architecture TI c55x, c64x, OMAP 24xx series & ARM 9/11 is a must. He/She should understand the key value proposition of these architectures. The candidate should have executed a couple of optimization projects on any of these platforms
